W. Todd Humphrey
W. Todd Humphrey has been a music educator for over 30 years. He is a graduate of the Army-Navy School Music, at Norfolk, Virginia. Todd also holds a Bachelor of Music Education, as well as a Masters in Community College Music Education from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. A second Masters of Music in Performance on Bass Trombone was awarded to him by the University of Redlands in Redlands, California.
Captain Humphrey
has played with various organizations including the 28th Army Band, 7th Inf. Div. Army Band, Moravian Trombones, Bones West at Carnige Hall, Ken Dahleen's Big Band Staff, Bill Tole Orchestra, Pat Rizzo Orchestra, Mike Costley Big Band, Mark Hix Big Band, Troy Clark Big Band, Buddy Greco Big Band, Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra lead by Bill Tole and the Harry James Tribute Band and the Palm Springs International Film Festival Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Jack Poster. He has backed up performers such as Don Rickles, Lorna Luft, Peter Marshall, Jack Jones, Al Martino, and Diane Schuur, Queen Latifa, Wynonna Judd. Todd's musical expertise includes string bass, bass guitar, tuba, bass and tenor trombone, sacqueboute, serpent and arranging.
