Cornet Extraordinare!
Mark Sczublewski is a career-long Music Educator who has taught all levels of K-12 music in many locations across the country including Ohio, South Carolina, Georgia and California. After earning his Bachelors of Education (cum laude) from The University of Toledo, he has served as a band director, chorus director, private instructor and elementary general music teacher and is currently employed by the San Bernardino City Unified School District as an elementary itinerant music teacher.Mark has be an educational sales representative for a large music company in Northwester Ohio, a detail draftsman for a steel company, a sales and marketing director for a computer systems company and a sound and video projection consultant and technician. He has served in the military, in both the 122 Army Band (ONG) and the 555 Air Force Band (OANG) as a musician, arranger and sound technician. Mark remains active as an arranger and electronic engraver, participating in numerous projects for many sacred and secular organizations, and is currently involved in the archiving activities of the Band Music PDF Library and the Guthrie Library of the San Bernardino Symphony.
Mark continues to play in various organizations: most recently the Riverside Concert Band and Swing Ensemble (trumpet), the Dragonsbryar Consort (cornetto and recorder) and of course the Camp Carelton Cornet Band
(B flat cornet and pennywhistle).
